Urban space can be mentally navigated through food, as a sensory experience, a point of reference as well as a trace of memory. The notions of domesticity, proximity and neighborhood can be seen under a new light when discussed through a gastronomical lens. The workshop is an outcome of the recent research on restaurants and food businesses operated by refugees and immigrants in the center of Thessaloniki and which was carried out in collaboration with the American University of Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
